AMZ launches Funeral & Hospital Insurance in Kabwe

AMZ, in partnership with Sanlam and Risk Shield, successfully launched the Funeral and Hospital Insurance in Kabwe a on the 20th July 2018.
This product is available to the general public and is designed to provide an affordable social security buffer for low-income families, both in urban and rural areas.
It is an extremely innovative product with voluntary enrolment. The insurance has various cover options, minimal exclusions, a flexible claim process and makes use of digital platforms.
The launched was attended by Kabwe's Deputy Mayor and the District Commissioner’s representative, as well as other heads of various governmental departments and also local community leaders.
The Funeral and Hospital Insurance covers Death and Hospitalization for a period of twelve (12) months. It covers the principal beneficiary (either husband or wife), spouse and four (4) children below the age of 18 with payment of a single annual premium of K110.
AMZ aims to reach 10,000 potential customers this year throughout it’s various locations with the intent of increasing insurance penetration in the market. This will help to protect rural households and allow them to make good future growth.
